What's new? June 2020 Release Update

June 12th 2020 by Nicolas Kiefer

It has been only two weeks since our last update, but here we are with another update! In the new version 1.0.0-rc.3 of ActyxOS and the Actyx CLI, we bring you new features, stability improvements and bug fixes.

Where to get the latest versions

What's new in ActyxOS

New features

Configurable logging levels for ActyxOS

With configurable logging levels, we let you decide which logs you want to see. Simply set your logging level inside the node settings to one of [Trace, Debug, Info, Warn, Error, Fatal] and get the most out of your node logs.

Bug fixes and performance improvements

With the 1.0.0-rc.3 release, we focused on stability and performance improvements. Many internal changes made over the last two weeks made the ActyxOS nodes more robust and will give you a better experience with ActyxOS.

What's new in the Actyx CLI

New features

Installer for the Actyx CLI for Windows

Before, Windows developers had to manually install the binary of the Actyx CLI. Now, with 1.0.0-rc.3, we give you a proper installer that takes care of saving files in the right places and adding executables to the right path.

Logs available through ax logs tail

On ActyxOS on Docker and on Android, you can now get more insights and access all your node and app logs via ax logs tail.

Bug fixes and performance improvements

  • When packaging an application, you no longer have to worry about the name of your docker image containing a "/". Just give the image a name you like and the CLI takes care of the rest.
  • Tired of waiting what feels like an eternity when packaging apps? Wait no more! Packaging is now much faster than before.
  • When packaging an application, inlining the schema in ax-manifest.yml, no longer corrupts the package
