Oliver is a mechanical engineer by education and a software enthusiast by heart. He completed his studies at the ETH Zurich and has worked at Miele, Audi, ABB, and Xerox PARC before starting Actyx.
Max is a mechanical engineer fascinated by improving manufacturing processes with software. He completed his studies at ETH Zurich, Caltech, Duke and EPFL Lausanne. Before co-founding Actyx, he was researching the area of physical chemistry.
Roland is a physicist turned software engineer with an appetite for distributed systems. He worked in the space industry and led the Akka team at Lightbend before co-founding Actyx.
Rolf is an experienced investor in high-tech startups. As one of the founders of Earlybird, he helped establish the German venture capital scene. Rolf enjoys investing in high-tech software and health-care companies.
Mirko is a highly successful serial-entrepreneur. He founded and lead Codecentric, a leading german IT Consulting company. He then founded and lead Instana, one of the world's leading APM companies. Mirko sold Instana to IBM in 2020. He is also an angel investor in promising startups.
Jürgen is a professor for computer networks at the OWL University of Applied Sciences, and head of Fraunhofer IOSB-INA. Previously, he was head of R&D for automation at Phoenix Contact. Jürgen is an initiator of the SmartFactoryOWL and a thought-leader of the Industry 4.0 movement.
Christian is the founder and partner of Paua Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on B2B software companies, with a special interest in industrial startups. Christian has made several investments in startups such as Stripe, Pipedrive, and Wandelbots.
