Oliver is a mechanical engineer by education and a software enthusiast by heart. He completed his studies at the ETH Zurich and has worked at Miele, Audi, ABB, and Xerox PARC before starting Actyx.
Roland is a physicist turned software engineer with an appetite for distributed systems. He worked in the space industry and led the Akka team at Lightbend before co-founding Actyx.
Max is a mechanical engineer fascinated by improving manufacturing processes with software. He completed his studies at ETH Zurich, Caltech, Duke and EPFL Lausanne. Before co-founding Actyx, he was researching the area of physical chemistry.
Niels is a former EY Innovalue strategy consultant that at one point decided it's more fun to build things rather than advise on them. Before joining Actyx he worked as CFO at Shore.
Raimund is a mechanical engineer from the RWTH Aachen and former Senior Director at McKinsey in Munich, Vienna and Beijing with 27 years of experience in supply chain and manufacturing. He is in the board of directors of several companies and a lecturer at TU Graz.
Jürgen is a professor for computer networks at the OWL University of Applied Sciences, and head of Fraunhofer IOSB-INA. Previously, he was head of R&D for automation at Phoenix Contact. Jürgen is an initiator of the SmartFactoryOWL and a thought-leader of the Industry 4.0 movement.
Rolf is an experienced investor in high-tech startups. As one of the founders of Earlybird, he helped establish the German venture capital scene. Rolf enjoys investing in high-tech software and health-care companies.
Christian is the founder and partner of Paua Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on B2B software companies, with a special interest in industrial startups. Christian has made several investments in startups such as Stripe, Pipedrive, and Wandelbots.
Chris is passionate about helping manufacturing companies innovate to improve their competitiveness. He has a background in political science/economics and has worked at Porsche, Henkel, the European Commission, and AWS before joining Actyx.
Alexander has been working as a software engineer since 2007. Before joining Actyx and enjoying distributed-system programming, he worked with different companies focusing on big data and high performance/availability computing.
Anja is a business psychologist specialized in organizational development and joined the Business Development team in 2020. During her studies, she developed a strong interest in entrepreneurship and venture management. Before joining Actyx, she gained practical experience in various areas such as marketing, PR, sales and venture development at companies like POSSIBLE and Fraunhofer Venture.
Erika has a business background with a masters degree from the Stockholm School of Economics and a bachelor from the University of Mannheim. She loves digging into new topics and putting them into practice. Before joining Actyx, she worked for BCG and UnternehmerTUM.
Rüdiger has 20 years of experience writing software. Before joining Actyx, he worked in the space industry for 11 years. He was a member of the space mission planning group of the German Space Operation Center and co-developer the mission planning system of the TerraSAR-X/TanDEM-X missions. Rüdiger also built the telemetry display for the Columbus ISS module. He is active in open source and maintainer of the spire algebra library.
Oliver is a mechanical engineer from the Technical University of Munich. During his studies, he focused on industrial automation, control theory, and software engineering. Before joining Actyx, Oliver worked with several leading machine manufacturers, helping to lift their offerings into the digital manufacturing era.
Mario is a generalist by heart with a penchant for automation and Systems Reliability Engineering. Before joining Actyx he studied Computer Systems Engineering at ITESM-CEM and worked, among other places, at EDS, Sun Microsystems, and eBay.
André is a software engineer with over 15 years of experience in the enterprise software industry and enjoys pondering over distributed systems and functional programming. Before joining Actyx, he developed complex enterprise applications in the health and geo-informatics space.
Nikita is an electrical engineer with over 10 years of experience in the software industry. He has gained significant expertise in modern web technologies and frameworks/libraries.
Simone is a senior frontend developer skilled in UX/UI design with 20 years of experience. He has significant experience in web technologies and worked on different projects used by thousands of users including customer as O2 and Siemens.
Benjamin has been working as a software engineer since 2012, with experience across many technologies. Most of it he gathered at a real-time bidding startup that was bought by Zalando. He enjoys pondering edge cases and coming up with code that does one thing, and one thing well.
David has 12 years of experience writing software. He is a contributor to many open source projects and worked in the blockchain industry. He is the author of ipfs-embed.
Max started at Actyx in 2016 with an internship that sparked his passion for technology and the manufacturing sector. Before joining Actyx, Max completed his studies in Finance/Business Administration at LMU Munich and Bocconi University.
Nicolas started at Actyx as a working student in UX design in 2016. Now, after finishing his MSc in Computer Graphics, Vision and Imaging at UCL, he joined Actyx full-time as a Product Manager with a strong background in UX design and Computer Vision.
Diana is a trained industrial business management assistant with several years of experience in companies like MMM GmbH and BO-Systems. In addition to starting a family, she spent 3 years in England and 5 years in China, which broadened her personal and professional horizon.
Angelika is a business economist with experience in accounting, logistics and human resources. She is a volunteer in several family institutions. She has spent time studying and working in Spain and USA during and before her studies at University of Applied Science in Munich. She has been with Actyx since 2018.
